I have an XO laptop as part of the OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) Give-1-Get-1 program.

The following image compares the XO to a Zune 30.

Here's the XO compared to an IBM Thinkpad T42 (15" display)

Here's what ZuneScene looks like using the Opera web browser.  This picture (taken with my cellphone's camera) doesn't do justice to the absolutely crisp screen.

A shot of the XO's "Sugar UI" desktop and partially twisted.

Here's the XO in "ebook mode".  The screen can be oriented for both lefthanded and right handed users.

I'll even throw in a 2GB SD card preloaded with  Ubuntu Linux, Open Office, Firefox, and a few more goodies.

I'm looking to trade it for an EeePC, or any other reasonable offer.

It's designed for kids mostly.. I think they were selling them for 100-200 bucks not too long ago!?  The idea was to get laptops to kids around the world

I have no idea how you bought it for... but from what I've heard it is a nice computer (very different from what everyone is used to).

And I'm looking forward the 2nd gen of this (the concept is just awesome)

The XO is basic in design and limited in function however as its been pointed out it was designed for children and for educational purposes. My daughter has one and Ive considered getting one for my other daughter so they can application share across a mesh network... just not willing to fork out the cash for what its capable of...
